Jumping off the spectator wall
I just registered for a race.
It was all the talk of planning which restaurant to go to that did me in.
Last week, all I heard about was the ice cream at Hanford.
We bellas have our racing priorities figured out just right. And so, that makes me want to race.
How much training do you think I can get in between now and Friday?

Which race which race??
35+ at Madera with the crew, the originals.
pretty sweet. but why does it have to be in madera?
The important thing is to get lots of rest between now and then.
yeah, screw training and just load up on sugary goodness between now and then. Training will only hurt you at this point. Glycogen loading, on the other hand....
We'll see you there! Looking forward to it.
was it that yummy meal last year at the vineyard which got you???
so far we got 8 hungry bellas!
does this mean I have to find new mountain bike friends this weekend?
or maybe this means I need to get over my fear of road rash and sign up for a skinny tire race too. especially if choosing an event is based on post-race food!
You are a smart racer, and your ability to put that knowledge into action will overcome the fitness level. You'll be suprised. Plus, those hilly mtb rides count as training.
Oh, we know a lovely Port tasting room, Ficklin. And, they give chocolate out with the port tastings.
oh yes, we race for port!
I've had that port. But I think I need to try it some more.
there is some yummy stuff there...quite a few to sample, but not before our races...
mtb riding is kinda the same as doing intervals, kinda.
and i bet with all those teammates you'll have a GREAT time!
Lauren, not the mtb riding I've been doing. I've been all about the chitter chatter pace type of rides.
I'll be fine at the race, as long as everyone agrees to go chitter chatter pace.
chitter chatter yay...maybe a field trip to ficklins...and racing too hard kills the appetite...
i know it said "in nine days" before and not "between now and friday"
or it may be that i've lost my mind
let's all go around in circles and that'll straighten me out
yay! have fun out there!
training is like so totally over-rated.
