Training Day
Yesterday was a picture perfect spring day.
I managed to get out at lunch and do some intervally things...but I wanted more. So I shot an email over to Michael and asked his advice on getting in another ride after work. Maybe a quick little mtb spin at Santa Teresa, where the wildflowers are exploding, the grass is still green and the trails are tacky yummy.
He said I should go for it because "doubling up on the workouts is just soooo good for the fitness."
Yeah. Thats why I did it.

One of my co-workers got worked up because those yellow flowers don't usually grow there--they think that burning off the meadows last summer may have scarified the seeds so that they germinated.
I've heard "April showers bring May flowers" but never "summer wildfire practice brings unusual spring flowers." Awkward.

Oops, it was tuesday night, but whatever. Saturday I was busy taking dirt samples with my elbow and knee at Toro Park.

Mmmm. I love weeks where there's no race to dictate specifics and you can just ride.
Since I don't really have any races i am focusing on, I get to just ride all the time.
and Brent, you don't need a better cell phone cam, I like how the cell cam is sort of fuzzy. The pictures come out dreamlike.
double training days are really fun...usually it means I don't have to go to work...but you did both...stud...
