Courageous geek

I am so giddy that my new Garmin is working now, that I want to tempt the rain gods and go out at lunch.

I hate getting wet on lunch rides, but I hate spending my lunch with auditors even more.

Oops, Ann's calling. We're going. Wish us luck.

I'm jealous of your geeky toy. You even have Heather all green over it.

Since I put on every stitch of bike clothing that was in the car, including the giant ski gloves....it didn't rain a drop on us the whole 90 minutes.

The weathermen were making the forecast sound downright biblical, but I haven't seen a good downpourin'...maybe 'cuz the lab doesn't have windows.

Is that a Garmin + heart-rate + speed/cadence all-in-one? Mmmm, toys for "Slow"...

Yes, Garmin with all the usual GPS wizadry, plus speed cadence and HR.

I am overflowing with data and I couldn't be happier.

I can twist and turn and extrapolate and csv to my hearts content. Plus map it all on Google earth which thrills me to no end.

Today's rain dodging lunch ride is here

We opted for a fun ride. Since it was a bonus and all. Just ride. Nice.

Ann is just now getting back on the bike after a 6 week layoff, so its fun to have her and her enthusiasm along.

90 minute rain dodging lunch ride through gorgeous countryside with an enthusiastic and genuinely happy teammate.

I am very fortunate.

mmmmmmmmm, garmin

Careful with motionbased, they get you with a nice fee if you get hooked on using it. I only put up important rides now since I didnt want to pay for over the base ten postings.....
