Is it lunchtime yet?

I really really want a red kitchen.

But I know I am going to chicken out and get something more ummm...safe.

A red kitchen is sort of like a little red dress. Spend some money on the right accessories and you look chic and fabulous. But, do it wrong, and you just end up looking like a cheap you know what.

And I am on a cheap you know what budget.

Oh, and I don't cook either. But according to Flandria, not cooking is all the rage right now. Except her not cooking thing looks like a lot of work, what will all the julienning and pulping. I won't be doing any of that in my red kitchen.

The red kitchen looks like the perfect place for all your friends to stand around sipping their favorite drinks... in a fancy glass would look best.

i am also looking into remodelling to have a pink kitchen...Giro color and cycling frescos...not sure when but badly need one - kitchen was originally pink and had retro deco - hunny's grandmum's kitchen really...we still have her witch doll to fight off evil spirit hanging...not sure what that was about...so was her wig...oops going in tangent...

i've stationed the blender, juicer, food processor, espresso machine like an assembly line...i have to keep busy or else hunny will be in trouble...I am still entertained by this raw concept - it could fade but so far it's cool...what the heck!

heck, who needs a kitchen anyway?

if you don't cook, and don't eat your leftovers you put in the fridge, just use the space for something else

like a disco dance room

Did I link to remodel before here? Oops. Not trying to hijack this blog or anything. Just trying to provide some "inspiration" (or is that perspiration?)

So is this work triangle thing I keep hearing about the flow between the margarita bar, disco ball, and chips and dip?

oh and nice work there Gin.

On the remodel too.

You did your own electrical? Thats wacky talk.

We're contracting everything out except the demo. Maybe we should have a demo party. A bring your own crow bar sort o deal.

with margaritas.

Its going to suck using the garage sink for dishes and stuff.

no drinking during the demo ... we might end up with an open air kitchen.

red.

red,red,red,red,red.

as VanderKitten would say ... naughty hotness.

Hell every other contractor out there is plastered when they do their work, so no worries with margaritas and demo - just make sure the electrical is turned off, okay?

No disco outfits though - make sure you wear jeans, gloves, and eye protection. Trust me, I'm a safety professional (oh and I have the scars to prove it).

life is too short to worry about the safeness of color...GO FOR IT!

With good appliances and accessories, it will look...Chillie HOT.

Just remember how great that blue bathroom turned out.

We painted our kitchen cupboards bright cherry red a couple of years ago and LOVE it! With the bright colors in the kitchen now, that room is now one of the very best to spend time in during the dark winter. Of course, super bright hallogen fixtures help, too.

Bubbye SAD!! (that's seasonal affective disorder)

Fight SAD!
With rocking red cabinets!

My mom is the only one who seems to hate the idea. That makes me like it all the more.

I love my blue bathroom

except that was a lot of work for a place that ended up being where the kitty poopies.
