I'd love to check this out--wonder where we'll be racing that weekend...
Didn't know you were an aficianado of such fine machinery. I should have guessed, though. Check out this bike. My buddy Kevin made it in my shop a couple years ago. He's the artistic talent, I'm the technical advisor...
Wow - I am jealous - wish I could go to this show, but work calls. Never thought I would have this much appreciation for art.....but how could you not???
about those lugs, PAB...digging the lugs, but that color...its not working for me.
Except for my Basque beauty, all of my rides are norcal steel babies. And I love them all. Between Dawn and I, our garage is like a mini version of that show.
I'm starting to miss the mountain ones a little though. Maybe when its time to start climbing I can ride those again? Going to need a dirt fix soon.
that webpage was created to showcase ornate bikes built with Pacenti's lugs. But now there are bikes on there that are kind of on the plain side, and some that aren't even steel...
i still think Columbine does the best lugwork I've seen

Lugs are sweet.
I'm finding myself drawn to the clean lines..like the DeSalvo track bike in the first pic and the sweet Vanilla in the next too. Yummy.
Hooky on Friday sounds good.

you know i can't stop you from the dirt.
mmm ... you said "climbing."
...
all this talk of lugz makes me feel warm and fuzzy ... I should take some snaps of my lugged spectrum's ...
our friend put out a poll of all his friends on what color he should paint his frame...
i offered a lovely purple with red lug option...
he tallied all the results and then ended up picking the least favorite of everyone...
an odd fellow...
and he's a friend of ours?
how unusual
like i said, i was the technical advisor only (helping with mitering, brazing, etc.)
the artistic part, including color choices, was ALL Kevin...
More yummy stuff on thatlink
yeah, but I sorta don't get it.
