Tour Tapas

From Velonews:

Second place doesn't matter. I am going to risk all to win. If I end up in sixth, it doesn't matter."
-Contador

The safe card rarely inspires. The one who dares to risk, on the other hand....

my new fave rider. he even manages to make those globe-sided shorts look halfway decent.

(levi, on the other hand, stretches the side-globe into an oblong sort of smooshed-up globe. sooo not flattering. but who could notice? he's always burried deep within the pack of taller riders anyway)

venga contador venga!

we've been making a game of Levi spotting

where's Levi? Is he still in the group? Is he still in the race?

I swear, he could like, swoop off the side of the road and no one would notice.

Yeah, I loved that quote yesterday. That boy has cajones and heart. I love that he is not afraid to risk and lose. It will be interesting to see if he succeeds how the team is next year - whether he is allowed to ride with abandon or whether they put the iron fist to the peloton like in the Lance era.

Levi on the other hand is afraid of risking - no risk, no reward, my friend.
