Reluctant Techie on a lunch break

I am not a tech geek, but this team is forcing me to skim the surface of it.

I haven't been posting much this past week because I've been birthing some boards. And it was a tough labor. But I think the baby is out of intensive care now. You can check it out by clicking here. Anyone interested is invited to participate. Don't be shy, its just the internet.

And check out our new blog clothes. Aren't they pretty? Julie made them for us. Spiffy.

I heard that the new blogger version allows easy add of rss feeds into the template. I sooo want to do that. But blogger won't let my massive account update to the new version. So Flandria sent me her template code to see if I could slip it in anyway....and uh.....huh? If anyone knows how to add an RSS feed to the sidebar links of the old blogger, let me know.

I am going to run to the comfort of my 10 key now.

no.NOt the RSS from Blogger.

I want to use the rss feed that is coming from the forums and put in in the sidebar of some of the blogs.

i.e. I am working on the CA Regional Blog. I want to put the RSS feed for
http://velobellabb.com/index.php?rss=recent&forum_id=3
in the sidebar.

Flandria did it as a test on her blog and it was lovely. New version of Blogger allows adding RSS feeds without knowing the CSS code so she could do it lickety split. But old blogger you have to know the CSS code to set it up and when I view sourced on Flandria's blog to look at the code, it was complicated and javascripty. And it made me more cross eyed than my kiki.

Cool stuff. I've setup the TWW main site to feed from all the four blogs we have so that it has the most current info. Guess I need to unveil it since it is 2007. Not nearly the flair though...

Thats sort of what I had in mind when I first set up these blogs, to incorporate the feed with the main page so that the main page wasn't such a bear to keep updated.

we'll get there when we get there
