Exorcism

An exorcism was performed this weekend.
It didn't involve a priest, spinning beds, and latin gobbledygook.

But it did involve a few pesky little demons.

Who needs a priest when there is apple pie, cherry blossoms, springtime weather, and someone who believes in you?

Big breath of life. Mmm...good.

Amen.

psstt...thank you for helping me be me. Your motivation gives me strength. And lets not even talk about that lovely carrot you dangle. Arrrrrrrrr baby....

30+ and cat 3/4
.

a very, very cool race to watch.

they put on a good show.

~

but i was damn nervous for you.

i think i took 3 breaths the whole time.

and my heart stopped when you accelerated after that last prime.

sexy ... but too soon!

fun and sun and the simple thrills and chills of bike racing.

when it's safe and aggressive and good-natured ... it's almost as good as morning carrots.

Taitt won the morning's race and I have no idea who won the 1/2/3..some other McGuire, I think Martina.

Brenda had a teammate off the front, so she was in the fodder pack with me...kindly reminding me that I have the skills to corner.

McGuire had about 9 in the 1/2/3 race. Coupled with 3 Victory Brewing and an otherwise small field with no other strong team representation...made for a weird race. But I can't complain because all I did was sit in the back and rediscover.

No crashes in the morning sketch fest...but I didn't have the nerve to do what it takes at the end.

2 PAB women crashed into each other in the 1/2/3 race. They almost took our Laura C, but she rescued it with only a damaged tire.

It was weird seeing Mel and Tracie in Green/Yellow. Me no likey.

Thanks Bean.

Bummer about those gals. But alas, the grass must be greener.

I don't know if the grass is...but the shorts are

They are going to be quite a force this year. A good mix of climbers and sprinters.

And oodles of strong Cat 4 women.

Should be a fun year.

And in other results, the Men in Black took control of the Masters 1/2/3 race at Apple, for another fine win.

PAB's field sprint was making me hot.

And they stayed safe in the crash fest that is Cherry Pie. SOme guy broke his hip and jaw in an earlier race and there was some kind of carnage in each race that day. Best part of that day was scrapping the afternoon races in favor of cashing out the pitcher of beer preme that Michael won.

We celebrated a fine weekend of racing with a fried food, pitcher of beer extravaganza.

RE: McGuire....it'll be a bummer we won't have as prominent a local force as they do. Looks like they'll be doing pretty damn good! It will be fun to watch the NRC girls (and nicole!) win a bunch of national races, though...okay, more fun watching than watching a local race get dominated.
