Ein Prost!
This morning, I woke up and realized that it was already Thursday.
And that tomorrow we would start the weekend action again.
Already.
The week just flew by.
They have been flying by like that lately.
Life does that when you are having fun.
And then I remembered my mom. She's a little freaked out because she will be turning 70 next month.
She's freaking out because she says the last 10 years just flew by. And I'm certain she's thinking that the next 10 will go even faster. And she can do the math.
So can I.
~
Prost! to living life so that it flies by, but remembering to savor and delight in every moment.

that is so sweet.
I have never met your mom, but it is obvious from that photo that she definitely enjoys life!
70 does not have to mean "old". We have friends in their 70s who run everyday, who race xcountry skis, who build their own two-story covered deck, etc, etc.
we do have to take care of our bodies/health, but I really believe that the mental side, ie remembering to savor it, is a huge factor in staying vibrant into one's "golden years".
and I so admire those who succeed...
if you met her mom ... you'd think 60 was on the high side of an estimate.
that's hot.
... and damn, is she funny.
that means it is almost time for some real coffee
except real coffee makes my tatas hurt
even just on the weekends?
oh..thats what you meant.
See what no coffee does for me?
Yes, its almost time for REAL coffee. Whew.
i was going to write a longer comment earlier, but this damn work stuff keeps getting in the way...
i find life goes by way too fast no matter what i do, and lately i am just too busy to notice or care about it
and when i do think about it, i am content
i can look at how i am spending my time and be happy about it
and i hope i can still say that when i am 70
I think somehow up in the heavens when they dropped me in some mexican village, it was a mistake because your mama is really my mama and they should have dropped me in Germany. Even though I do like my mama in Mexico, I am more like your mama from Germany. Anyway storks don't always fly right.
