Her Name is BETTY JORDAN

Betty, resplendent in her stars and stripes jersey, at last weekend's local cross race.

because that's her name.

... and race promoters should make the respectful gesture of knowing the names of national champs that come to their race.

Promoters probably should choose not to yell out at the start line, 'what's her name?'

bad form. bad form.

- - -

for recap, Betty was the only woman in her age-group tough enough, skilled enough, and crazy enough to conquer that epic Natz cross course this year.

Think about that - Betty was the ONLY woman her age who did it.

I suppose there are two camps - those who think of it as her winning because she was the only person who showed up, and -

those who think of it as..."Wow! she is blazing a path for other women to follow."

Betty is an inspiration. She helps people believe they can do wondrous things ... at any age.

I know where I fall.

Respect.

and so, i concur ~

Hey, just seeking clarification. It wasn't me that forgot her name. I just forgot the Bellas' names on the SDF ride. Sheesh, I'll make sure that I don't forget any VB names in the future or risk castration...

I know, it's not all about me. That was lame of that promoter, the bastage. At least they didn't call her by her initials...

Ahhh, the post makes much more sense now. I already knew that BETTY JORDAN kicks ass out there. Sorry I got there too late on Sunday to see her flying in her well deserved National Champion plumage.

Geez, Masters & Collegiate Bella National Champs, a Junior State Champ, 2 Bellas headed to Worlds, Bellas across half the USA & around the globe, Kona as a World-Class bike sponsor, Bellas competing & winning in almost every cycling discipline, and most importantly, lots of Bellas out there having fun. So hard to even keep track of anymore, but so easy to be proud!!!

well, there was this

but of course it doesn't explain my yelling. But Olaf did that rather nicely for me.

The fool thing is still open to interpretation. (see sombrero pics for further info)

You expect me to remember that far back on another blog? You clearly don't know me very well. And there is danger in going back in time in blogs - I read somewhere about a 10/12 blog and went to look - jeez, I just about killed myself. I'm in therapy now thank you very much.

Off to the rollers to clear my mind of 10/12 I hope...

Well, don't go reading 10/15 then...you may never recover.

You know, bad stuff happens around my birthday... Loma Prieta quake (actually on my birthday), Oakland Hills fire, stock market crash of '87, etc. I'm afraid to look since 10/15 falls within the danger zone...
